Client Case Study

What DCG built for a $5M luxury gym and wellness facility designer.

When DCG engaged this client — a global leader in luxury gym and wellness design serving brands including Soho House and Rumble Boxing — the business had no meaningful financial infrastructure. Books were inaccurate, AR was unmonitored, and leadership had no line of sight into margin or monthly performance.

Cash decisions were being made on instinct. Project profitability was a guess. Vendor payments were inconsistent. The fundamentals of running a $5M business were missing, even as revenue and reputation continued to grow.

What we built

A real finance function — installed, documented, and run.

Monthly Reporting

DCG stood up comprehensive monthly financial reporting, built a KPI dashboard, full annual budget framework, and established rolling forecasts — giving the client not only complete P&L clarity but also insight into the key metrics indicating how the business was performing and where to focus on improvement.

Demand Intelligence

In collaboration with executive leadership, DCG built a first-of-its-kind demand model purpose-built for luxury gym environments. The model forecasts equipment demand, locker and shower utilization, spatial capacity, and occupancy patterns — transforming how the client approaches project scoping and client presentations. Taking a task that was previously done solely with operator knowledge and biases into a data-proven and repeatable process.

AP / AR overhaul

Rebuilt billing, collections, and vendor payment workflows. Drove average payables under three days and brought aging receivables back into control.

Compensation framework

DCG designed and built a new compensation structure from the ground up — structured to support competitive staff pay while protecting operating margin. The framework was built by DCG and is currently being implemented across the organization.

The result

A business that runs on predictable, actively managed cash flow.

Leadership now opens the month with a single reporting package: P&L, dashboard, cash forecast, and a short written commentary explaining what changed and why. Decisions about hiring, pricing, and investment are grounded in numbers, not intuition.

The same playbook — monthly reporting, KPI dashboard, AP/AR discipline, strategic review — is what DCG installs for CrossFit gym owners. Different scale, same principles.
